As we continue to expand, we are looking for a dedicated Apple Support Specialist to join our MacDetroit division, focusing on providing top-tier support for Apple devices and systems.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and reliable Apple Support Specialist to provide onsite and remote support for our Apple-managed services clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Apple hardware and software, with hands-on experience in troubleshooting, configuration, and user support for Apple environments. This role will require travel to client sites and offer the opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a customer-focused setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide both onsite and remote desktop support for OSX clients (10.4 to 10.9).
  • Handle end-user support tickets and projects, ensuring timely responses in accordance with client contracts, processes, and policies.
  • Assist with user account setup using local, Open Directory, and Active Directory.
  • Perform data migrations from system to system.
  • Image Mac systems using Netboot/Netimage or similar tools (e.g., Casper).
  • Utilize Apple Remote Desktop, Filewave, and other tools to keep clients' systems up-to-date.
  • Execute basic hardware repairs, such as upgrading hard drives and memory.
  • Daily reporting to clients on progress and issues.
  • Track time, job notes, and provide updates via the job ticketing system and time-tracking software.

Qualifications:

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills due to the customer service environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of Macintosh (Mac OSX Server, OS installation, OSX configuration, troubleshooting, Apple Remote Desktop, cloning desktops) and familiarity with other Apple end-user products.
  • Apple Certifications at both the OS and hardware levels are required.
  • Basic computer hardware repair experience is essential.
  • Ability to travel to and from client sites as needed.
  • Bachelor's Degree in an IT-related field (preferred but not required).
  • Previous experience in an Apple support role is a must.
  • Experience with imaging software such as Netboot, Netimage, or Casper is highly desirable.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong commitment to maintaining client satisfaction through excellent customer service.

Notes:

  • This position requires technical testing to evaluate Apple device and environment support skills.
  • Candidates without Apple Macintosh experience and certifications will not be considered for this position.
  • Travel to client sites will be required, so reliable transportation is essential.
