About the Job
American Airlines Credit Union is looking for a dedicated Member Services Representative to join our dynamic team. This position involves handling daily tasks related to check processing, direct payments, wire transfers, and ensuring compliance with banking regulations. You will play a crucial role in supporting our members, resolving inquiries, and processing transactions accurately and efficiently.
As part of the Payments and Digital Strategy Team, you'll contribute to a seamless experience for members while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. What You Will Do:
- Perform data entry and balancing functions related to financial transactions.
- Process returns, coordinate with vendors, and work with the Federal Reserve Bank.
- Assist with fraud resolution, handle member inquiries, and support accounting ledger balancing.
- Process loans, deposits, credit card payments, and check payments (including IRAs, bankruptcies, and payoffs).
- Review and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other image-enabled products.
- Handle check batching, stop payments, and perform daily department closing activities.
- Research, confirm, and process domestic and international funds transfer requests.
- Ensure compliance with NACHA regulations, Federal Banking laws, and internal policies.
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of all member accounts and financial data.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Previous customer service or member service experience.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize work effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in banking or credit union environments.
- Familiarity with financial processing software (Episys/Symitar).
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations and analyze financial data.
- Experience processing wires and handling payments in a financial setting.
Skills and Competencies:
- Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to resolve issues efficiently and professionally.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions.
- Ability to cross-train and adapt to different roles within the department.
- Must pass pre-employment compliance tests and background checks.
